Jane Batkin

Jane Batkin joined the board of directors in 2006, having served on the Advisory board for two years. She has twice co-chaired the Hands Across the Avenue Walk. A school psychologist by profession, she retired from the Rye City Schools in Rye, New York in 2001. She has served on the board of directors and executive committee of Westchester Jewish Community Services, where she was treasurer and chair of the committee overseeing WJCS's adult community residences for the developmentally challenged. Jane is a volunteer facilitator at The Den for Grieving Kids in Greenwich and also serves on the board of the Greenwich United Jewish Appeal Federation. She is a member of the New York UJA Caring Commission, serving on its Children's Mental Health Commission and sits on the Advisory Board of the Women's Health Initiative of Greenwich Hospital.  She has been actively involved with the breast cancer programs at Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals in New York City and served as the chairman of their 2003 Breast Service Luncheon.
