3rd annual BCA flagraising!
The BCA raised its flag on October 3 at Greenwich Town Hall to kick off the celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. BCA president Debbie Black and Executive Director Yonni Wattenmaker introduced Alliance supporters Paula and Robert Burton, Sr., who hoisted the banner with the help of the Greenwich Boys & Girls Club Honor Guard. First Selectman Peter Tesei read a proclomation declaring October Breast Cancer Awareness Month and recognizing the Breast Cancer Alliance for its efforts to find a cure. Dr. Barbara A. Ward, Medical Director of the Breast Center at Greenwich Hospital, gave a presentation on New Advances in the Surgical Treatment of Breast Cancer while guests dined on box lunches provided by Libby Coverly Cooke Catering. The flag will fly outside of the building for the entire month.
